While it might be nice to only write posts about women's fashion and style trends, this blog would be truly remiss if it didn't pay significant focus to men's wear and hot men's looks as well. After all, few things are as sexy as a well-dressed man. Our arm candy is often our best accessory, and we need it to look as great as we do!
Recently, GQ did a feature on trends in men's wear this season. It focused around this year's popular men's runway looks, from well-tailored suits to strapping dress shoes. Our three favorites from this feature are below.
1. Check, Please!

One of our favorite looks for men this season is the checkered suit look. Professional and standout, this look is great for the man who seeks to express himself in the professional setting. While some may write off the checkered look as "old" or "outdated", it is being utilized impressively by newer, more cutting edge designers who are successfully combining the look with more modern suit styles.
2. Indigo is In!

While most men's looks are traditionally understated, this season has shown us that style is very capable of adapting to this while popularizing newer and bolder looks. One of the best examples of this is the popularity of not-quite purple, not-quite blue indigo, a color that has made its way into the closets of fashionistos all over. Pairing well with most colors, indigo is an awesome standout color, far from boring in the boardroom and hot enough for happy hour.
3. Swashbuckling Buckle Up

Our final fashion favorite is the buckle-up shoe, a hot spin on a classic look. 2012 brings us buckle ups with a great fashionable flair, a welcome reprieve from the standard men's dress shoe. These look great with most outfits, and work well in the office and out of it. This smooth and dapper look is great for the professional on the go, with an eye for expression and a passion for fashion.
